It is captured light as the day turns to night
Just you and me going home
And we're flying along, 15 horsepower strong
Under a starry void
It's a lost memory from last century
Caught in celluloid

A word or a scent and I'm there
The king and the heir

We're going home
That's how I remember it
A touchstone
But my memory's faking it

In million ways those were better days
But they're painted by memory
In the yellowing tint, I smell peppermint
And what I wanted to be
Wasn't better then, but here I go again
To find the beginning
So I press rewind and go back in time
To when we were winning

It may not have happened that way
Memories stray
