Murder Creek

Now long before the white man came
With all his guns and steel
Before he chained his fellow man
And threw them in them fields
The native tribes lived their lives
But all of that would change
Til they loved the white man's blood
It felt better than them chains

Folks around here like to quote a lot of scripture
But they don't practice what they speak
They love to tell you all about Jesus
But they don't turn no cheek
They ain't got no plans
To will this world to the meek
And if you want to get through south Alabama
You got to get past Murder Creek
