Plug And Pray

Had a great time with friends, just last week
Snapped some photos, memories we seek
Wanted them on a USB drive
To watch together, bring them alive
That was the plan, just a few seconds it'd take
But this USB stick's got no give, just take
Can't plug it in, what's this trick?
Why's it always happening, this USB stick?
First try, doesn't fit
Second one, again no hit
Third try, flipped it back
Suddenly works, what the heck?
Now at my friend's place, big screen, we're ready
Hand him the stick, his hands are unsteady
Déjà vu, as he tries, it's the USB curse
Left, then right, can anything be worse?

Such a simple task, yet so bizarre
Can't plug it right, are we reaching for the stars?
Every time, it's a fight, a tech calamity
There's gotta be a way, some sort of strategy
Fumbling and grumbling, can't take this anymore
There must be a path, an easier door!
Thank heavens for the cloud, up in the sky
File sharing, streaming, oh my, oh my
No more USB tango, no more twist and shout
With tech like this, we've finally figured it out
