On What Do You Trust
On what do you trust to make you whole
Is it in your hands, or deep in your soul?
Do you turn to your ways, thinkin' you're wise
Or do you see the truth where godliness lies?
We boast in the Lord, our fortress and might
Not in silver and gold or the wisdom of sight
For the strength we find in Him, no man can achieve
In the grace of God, our hearts find reprieve
Do you find your strength in the games you play
By foolin' others, day after day?
You're walkin' that line, but what's the cost?
In the end, it's yourself that's gettin' lost
We boast in the Lord, our fortress and might
Not in silver and gold or the wisdom of sight
For the strength we find in Him, no man can achieve
In the grace of God, our hearts find reprieve
Is it in what you own, those things you've bought
A garage full of toys, but what have you sought?
All that clutter, it weighs you down
A kingdom of dust in a one-horse town
We boast in the Lord, our fortress and might
Not in silver and gold or the wisdom of sight
For the strength we find in Him, no man can achieve
In the grace of God, our hearts find reprieve
Do you think you're wise with all that you read
Stackin' up books like a farmer's feed?
But knowledge alone can't light your way
It's wisdom you need at the end of the day
We boast in the Lord, our fortress and might
Not in silver and gold or the wisdom of sight
For the strength we find in Him, no man can achieve
In the grace of God, our hearts find reprieve
You search for answers on a glowing screen
But the face lookin' back ain't what it seems
Do you trust the voices of the ones you know
Or do you find your truth where the Spirit flows?
We boast in the Lord, our fortress and might
Not in silver and gold or the wisdom of sight
For the strength we find in Him, no man can achieve
In the grace of God, our hearts find reprieve
When the road is rough, and you're out of time
What will you hold when you've crossed that line?
Is it hope in your heart or fear in your mind
Will you stand on the rock, or be left behind?
So lay down your burdens, let your fears be gone
In the strength of the Lord, you'll find where you belong
He's the source of your power, wisdom when weak
In His grace, you'll find the strength you seek
Is it in your hands, or deep in your soul?
Do you turn to your ways, thinkin' you're wise
Or do you see the truth where godliness lies?
We boast in the Lord, our fortress and might
Not in silver and gold or the wisdom of sight
For the strength we find in Him, no man can achieve
