Innocence

Wicked potions pry his mind
With visions of the sublime
Spreading the illusions of grandeur
To the extreme exalted force
He soon plays his game of subtle intent
Upon her weakened state
And she succumbs to the aroma
Of his misguided concourse

Sweet but lonely and tender
In the mercies of life
She was smitten and deceived
Into the love of the moment
And began to believe
That first is always true
With past forever lost
Her commitment was as a nun
Void of all worldly binds and covenant

The cries of her heart
Falls on deaf ears
Silenced by passion
Cradled with the confusion
And bliss of desire

Unbridled now the spirit
Explodes in freedom's glory
No form of earthly creation
Will extinguish the fire

The cries of her heart
Falls on deaf ears
Silenced by passion
Cradled with the confusion
And bliss of desire

Unbridled now the spirit
Explodes in freedom's glory
No form of earthly creation
Will extinguish the fire

The fire fills her soul
'Til there is no more to hold
The heat builds in her heart
With the desire she cannot part

The passion digs so deep
She feels control has been lost
And mind, body, and soul
Start a dance to suppress her will
Though she wants to say no
The love will be fulfilled

As the night hours pass slowly by
His touch is beyond reason
And the tears begin to flow
Because her innocence has gone
Never to return, forevermore

As daylight dawns, the early sky
She opens her eyes of the purest blue
To realize it was not as she thought
Just a dream and a passion view
