Days of Before

Snowflakes gently falling
Toys beaming from a window store
I pine for the times of old time days
Days I've never seen before

Street lights glowing golden
Softly like we adore
Nearby laughter found in carols
From a time I've heard of once before

These memories from movies
And pretty laced cards
Are ones that I share with my soul
They're found deep inside of me
Away and outside of me
A moment that calls
From a time, which in turn, from us, time stole

Winter reds our cheeks
Starlight shine like Christmas treats
Books that capture us with their lore
Days that few remember anymore

Horse drawn carriages in the streets
Sun glistening snow caps on distant peaks
Cobblestone avenues at your feet
Those are days that I dream of and more

These memories from movies
And pretty laced cards
Are ones that I share with my soul
They're found deep inside of me
Away and outside of me
A moment that calls
From a time, which in turn, from us, time stole

If you find yourself in that moment
You can borrow it, fill your heart and hold it
Live for a spell in Days of Before
Days that you'll never see anymore
Anymore
