A Word of Advice
Every time I think of quitting
I think about the mission
I think about the reason I was put in this position
I understand to keep a positive disposition
Means I gotta learn to dodge the mockers and criticism
I gotta learn to study the prophets and hidden wisdom
On top of that the difference of talking and living Christian
Jesus was in the trenches walking amongst the sinners
Maybe I should hit the club and try to show them something different
Make a difference with my grammar
I do this for my grandma
I thought about that line when I was riding home from work
Hours later got the call that her spirit left the Earth
So forgive me if them hoes ain't the topic of my verse
But I should keep it on the surface right
People want to party, it don't matter what I'm hurting like
This ain't for everybody, more like for a certain type
Ghetto brain food, I don't cater to suburbanites
I've worked too hard, I swear that I deserve the life
It's common knowledge fame comes at a certain price
You start your business attempting to get your books up
Then rappers out the woodworks trying to get the hookup
You switch up on your flow attempting to get your hooks up
One computer mic nigga look how far it took us
Rebel for the Lord so the devil never shook us
Next time you looking for me you need to look up
I think about the mission
I think about the reason I was put in this position
I understand to keep a positive disposition
Means I gotta learn to dodge the mockers and criticism
I gotta learn to study the prophets and hidden wisdom
On top of that the difference of talking and living Christian
