The Lighthouse

There's a lighthouse on a hillside that overlooks life's sea
And when I'm tossed, it sends out a light that I might see
And the light that shines in darkness night will safely lead me home
And if it wasn't for that lighthouse, my ship would sail no more

Now everybody that lives around here says, "Tear that lighthouse down
The big ships don't sail this way anymore, it's no use, it's standing 'round"
But then my mind goes back to that stormy night where, just in time, I saw the light
It was the light from that old lighthouse still standing there on a hill

And I thank God for that lighthouse, I owe my life to it
For Jesus is the lighthouse, and from the rocks of sin
He had shown the light around me that I could clearly see
And if it wasn't for that lighthouse, where would this ship be?

He had shown the light around me that I may clearly see
And if it wasn't for that lighthouse, where would this ship be?
Where would this ship be?
