She Wants Everything

Lioness tears at my heart.
She wants my soul my very whole.
She wants everything.

This love affair has no end.
Endless tease - with no release.
She surely was my friend.

I gave myself to this war.
I was the nice kid.
The one from next door.

Tracks of tears, tracks of pain.
Those needles deep - taste blood so sweet.
Like summer walking in the rain.

How can I ever forget.
I'm battle scarred - I fought so hard,
But she wants everything.

This alley way is my home.
While all around me this cancer has grown.
Streets of fear, streets of shame.
Consume the innocent - enveloped in flames.

I gave myself to this war.
I was the bright kid. The one they adored.
Now all is still, all is calm.
The lioness sleeps. She can do me no harm.

She wants my soul, she wants my very whole.
She wants everything.
Lioness tears at my heart.
She wants everything.
