The Bottle

some say the damage gets done then it's too late
some sooner get up and run, say it's ok
ok
we all get a hit on the way through occasionally
we all feel a bit too late and a day too early

and when the bottle does come we go step into the way of it
somewhere to run to
something real to make us both forget
i get bored of the same old things that other people say
if there's a time and a place
well i want both of those things today
and maybe we could like it

been sleeping late
on the way to destruction
keep wishing the days go away like a vampire
it's always the same and i know i don't function well
oh, let it help with the pain
oh, let it cool down this fire
