The Emancipation Of Mr. X

Clyde

There's a man I know - I shall call him Mr. X
(Such a nice man)
Then one fine day, mr. X was heard to say
"You can all go to hell!"
And he wished the office boy farewell
As he scrambled for the stairs
Such a nice man
Why ever do a thing like that?
He didn't even take his hat
Or draw his pay
He didn't wander very far
For as he reached the car
He saw the park beyond
And little boats upon a pond
And he wanted just to play, so . . . .
Like a man possessed
He walked to the pond and there undressed
And gamboled in the sun
And he shrieked all the while, "I'm having fun
For the first time in my life!"
Such a nice man
You'll never guess what happened then
I only heard about it when
The ambulance came
While he was thus imbued
And was sitting in the nude
He was looking at a flower
And as the clock struck the hour of five
They carted him away
Such a nice man
He says he's God and perhaps he's right
For he never ever gets uptight
And he swears he's sane
And he prays for us all every night
Such a nice man
