Puff (The Magic Dragon)

This is a fairytale
About a big dragon
A little boy called Jackie Paper
And the history is called, "Puff, The Magic Dragon"

Little Jackie Paper loved that rascal Puff
And brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff

Puff, the magic dragon lives by the sea
And frolicks in the autumn mist in a land called, Honah Lee
Puff, the magic dragon lives by the sea
And frolicks in the autumn mist in a land called, Honah Lee

Together they would travel in a boat with billowed sails
Jackie kept a lookout perch on Puff's gigantic tail
Noble kings and princes would bow wherever they came
Pirate ships lowered down their flag as Puff roared out his name, so

Puff, the magic dragon lives by the sea
And frolicks in the autumn mist in a land called, Honah Lee
Puff, the magic dragon lives by the sea
And frolicks in the autumn mist in a land called, Honah Lee

Now, dragons live forever but not so little boys
Painted strings and ceiling lights make way for other toys
And one grey night it happened, Jackie Paper came no more
And Puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar

His head was bent in sorrow, teardrops fell like rain
Puff no longer went to play along that cherry lane
Without his old bestfriend, Puff could not be brave
So Puff that mighty dragon sadly slipped into his cave, oh!

Puff, the magic dragon lives by the sea
And frolicks in the autumn mist in a land called, Honah Lee
Puff, the magic dragon lives by the sea
And frolicks in the autumn mist in a land called, Honah Lee
