End Of the Show (Live from Atlanta, 1/29/2012)
I leaned over and gave her a kiss.
She blew up in my face.
I didn't even know her name.
Outside the party was dark and cloudy.
Smoke was pouring out of the kitchen.
I was thinking about the price of admission.
Headed for the knock on the door.
feeling like id been there before.
Just then Teddy stood up and said, you know Maria's killing me.
You outta see her dressed in body black leather.
She's a god damn cat in heat.
She's the meanest, sadest girl, this whole town has ever sighed about.
She only comes out at night.
A fallen angel under the street light.
Crooked straight she's filthy innocent, you know I'd rather cut myself than forget about her.
Oh, the sky had fallen
There was no doubt about it
Fat cripple lady in the room upstairs practicing her banjo.
Preacher man in the room downstairs put on his midnight mascara there's a fag bar new and open in downtown the moon was sharp and yellow.
Everybody was waiting to buy the last drink, have the last words to say.
The last place to go.
