Each Christmas I make myself a list of
Things I'd like to do for everyone that I've neglected
And each year I make myself a promise
I tell myself that next time December arrives
I've been good all the while

Then even if only
Just for a moment
I start to give
Like I ought to live

I see Christmas
Like an open canvas
With a golden chance to
Colour everything bright
Every Christmas
Is here to remind us
That it's up to each of us to
Paint Christmas White

Christmas is such a magic season
Coz you don't need a reason to reach out and help a stranger
And I find that it's the perfect time to
Tell someone I love you
Or let someone near
Know just how much you care

So if you're the kind who
Don't usually like to
Open your heart
Now's the time to start
