A Cat's Perspective

You look like you're asleep
But I want you to feed me
Seems like the perfect time to walk all over your face

Think you can lay back down
But I found a stuffed mouse
Never played with it before
But it seems like a fun game

Your life is so boring when compared to mine
I bet you wish every day that you could be a feline

For a while you go away
So I take the chance to lay
On everything you have that my fur sticks onto

After I've had a rest
Get a hair ball off my chest
Lounge around 'til you get home
Give me catnip I'm like, "Dude"

Pet me, pet me
Pet me, pet me
You think I'm so cute
Wow, that's way too much
I will claw the hell out of you
You're smothering me

You want to work on a song
I think I'll come along
I wrote a piece that I can't wait for you to hear

I've got this new technique
I walk on the piano keys
And you kick me out and I'm like
"Okay, you don't like it, you've made it pretty clear"

Your life is so boring when compared to mine
I bet you wish every day that you could be a feline
