Your Swimming Trunks

The other day when we rode our bikes to the beach
To have a midnight swim
I asked you if there are snakes in the sea
You looked at me with loving grin
Without judging me you left me ask my silly questions
Maybe I'll teach you a chord or two
And we can call it even

Lately I've been worried 'cause we'd had loads of disagreements
You've been a handful of work but I guess
I haven't exactly been Miss Decent
But somehow I'm confident that we can work this out
My mama says "no work, no gain" so I'm definitely gonna find out

I have come to realize that life is
So much easier when you learn to laugh about it
Laugh about it, laugh about it
Laugh about it, laugh about it
Oh yeah and I forgot to say:
Sorry I made fun your swimming trunks

I understand that we need our independent flower pots
Otherwise we'll suffocate and our roots will start to rot
Let's try and keep away from the well that serious people drink from
On this travel with you and me oh,
Humor is our strongest weapon

I have come to realize that life is
So much easier when you learn to laugh about it
Laugh about it, laugh about it
Laugh about it, laugh about it
Oh yeah and I forgot to say:
Sorry I made fun your swimming trunks
