Grandad

Grandad
used to let me sit upon his knee
Spent the afternoon just telling stories
But these days are gone now,
Grandad's getting on now

Grandad
Liked to heat his slippers by the fire
used to wow the ladies in his younger days
but he's an old man now
and he doesn't have my Gran, now...

Grand times, every day was fun,
and sometimes, he would call me "Grandson,
when my time is through, remember me,
remember all I said"

My Grandad,
even though the time was long ago
I can still remember songs he used to sing
It's hard to go on now,
Grandad is gone now

It's hard to go on now,
Grandad is gone now.
