Wild Card

Might not look like I know too much
But I know looks they can deceive
And I was taken in by your touch
And I know what that's done to me
I no longer trust my senses like I did
And if something seems impossible it usually is

But I go along for awhile
Even when I'm scared to death I smile
I give the illusion I'm doing
Everything according to some plan
But I always keep a wild card in my hand

And I once saw a man do magic
He cut a woman right in two
We held our breath; it was tragic
Oh, but in the end, she was good as new
Oh I no longer trust my senses like I did
And if something seems impossible it usually is

But I go along for awhile
Even when I'm scared to death I smile
I give the illusion I'm doing
Everything according to some plan
But I always keep a wild card in my hand

It's really not so bad, in fact I'm kinda glad
That I just can't be had

But I go along for awhile
Even when I'm scared to death I smile
I give the illusion I'm doing
Everything according to some plan
But you never know when it might hit the fan
So I always keep a wild card in my hand
