Kindergarten Sky

She found me here
Pretending that nowhere was somewhere good
And I even try spin it now
Like it all was a summer dream

Taking into account
Who I was and what I claimed to know
She never understood there was a reason
I wanted a kindergarten sky

Was it worth everything and everyone we ever lost?
Are there ever happy endings?
Does she know she's everything that any man could ever want?
I don't know but I tell you I'm trying.

I slip but I never fall
Those 30 days were like forever
And then I knew what I had was never lost, or found
It never went anywhere

She took me along for the ride
While I stared out the window
Looking in every other car's reflection
Searching for kindergarten skies

Was it worth everything and everyone we ever lost?
Are there ever happy endings?
Does she know she's everything that any man could ever want?
I don't know but I tell you I'm trying.

I slip but I never fall
Those 30 days were like forever
And now I know what I had was never lost, or found
It never went anywhere

Taking into account
What I know and who I claim to be
She'll never understood there was a reason
I wanted a kindergarten sky
