Jericho Junction

I'm taking a train down to Jericho Junction,
I'm breaking a link in a chain of command,
Riding the rails down to Jericho Junction,
I can't get a seat but I know where I stand,
I'm looking for something that doesn't exist,
I don't ask for much but I'm keeping a list,
A shirt on mu back and a watch on my wrist,
Some change and a cigarette lighter...

I'm waiting in line down at Jericho Junction,
I surrender my ticket to a man with no teeth,
I'm reading the signs down at Jercho Junction,
They say nothing on top and nowhere underneath,
I bought a return but I'm not going back,
The past is a blur and my future is black,
Got my feet in the clouds and my head in a sack,
Some change and a cigarette lighter...

Oh, I was hoping to make a new start,
And I quite understand if it's too much truble,
I'm sorry I wasted my time...

I'm chasing my tail down at Jericho Junction,
I'm rinning up debts that are long overdue,
Words never fall down at Jericho Junction,
What's easy to say isn't easy to do,
I didn't want much but I settled for less,
How I got where I am is anyone's guess,
I'd trade all of this for a different address,
Some change and a cigarette lighter,
I was looking for wonders that never cease,
The rest of a jigsaw to fit round my piece,
But I got a cage with no hope of release,
Some change and a cigarette lighter... lighter!
I'm taking a train down to Jericho Junction...
