Social Narcissist
Smack dab in the middle again and
I don't feel bad for the things I said
They weren't all wrong just questionable
If it's all the same I think I'll stick around,
maybe see how this all plays out
It's kinda funny the reactions that you get
And everybody up in arms today about
something somebody had the nerve to say
Well guess what, probly none of your business any how
Well I'm sorry you don't much care for that
Put a hashtag on it an' sign a petition in fact
I guarantee nobody cares but you
Misguided assumptions and talk
only proves the fact that we who follow are lost
and a bill forty won't get you answers
to the question at hand
Dry your eyes, look away,
there's not always a content warning displayed
but in this world it's becoming a must.
20 years ago feels like yesterday
except for the fact we didn't all have a way
to tell the world what we had for lunch.
How many hours during the day
do you stare into the void of an LED display
tossing birds, checking in or buying junk.
Come on even I'm guilty of that,
I ain't casting stones just giving the facts
Of a truth too hard to deal with on your own
So take the hand of your closest friend
hop in the car, drive like the wind
There's nothing you can't do if you just try.
I don't feel bad for the things I said
They weren't all wrong just questionable
If it's all the same I think I'll stick around,
maybe see how this all plays out
It's kinda funny the reactions that you get
And everybody up in arms today about

Well guess what, probly none of your business any how
Well I'm sorry you don't much care for that

only proves the fact that we who follow are lost
