A Cricket's Life

A cricket's life is the life for me
I'm as chipper as I can be
Summer nights
I reach new heights
It feels so right
To chirp til the morning light

I'm a cricket without a care
I dress with my cousin's flair
A top hat and tails and umbrella
Made him a dapper fella

I can sing anywere I please
I have only to rub my knees
Then this beautiful sound
Can always be found
Whenever this cricket's around

Of hiding places I've got my coice
I'm able to throw my voice
You might think I'm under the stair
When I'm right underneath you chair

I can squeeze into tiny places
Prk my carcass in mini-spaces
I'll slip in for the night
And snuggle up tight
And keep you awake 'til it'sl daylight

(whistling)

I can travel by boat or plane
Or hope on a truck or train
Just as qwuiet as cats
I'll slip throught the slats
Without even hitching my spats

A cricket's life is the life for me
I'm as chipper as I can be
Summer nights
I reach new heights
It feels so right
To chirp 'til the morning lights

I'm a cricket without a care
I dress with a certain flair
My top hat and tails and umbrella
Make me a dapper fella
