Wild Strawberries

In fields of grass and broken glass I pick my wild strawberries
I'm not a flame and if it's all the same I'm captive on this ferry
Now the ferry she floats high and wide
She's so open that it's hard to hide
She keeps moving on like the break of dawn
And she'll know you down like a raging storm

Now you know the sea
Was meant to be the king of all our nature
Now the ferry's frail but she'll always sail
And the sea can make no wager

When the sun goes down you might look around
And find a man his name is Jesus
He's not too loud but he draws a crowd
You might listen if it pleases
What he's got to say might make your day
If it don't he'll keep on trying
He's got all the patience in the world
And he's not afraid of dying no

Now he's the only answer to the cause
Of getting off that ferry
If you miss your stop then don't give up
Just pick your wild strawberries
