Glistening Bay
Oh those hills were tall and winding
And the roads they did divide
When we reach the top we stopped
To see over the side
Of the fickle sea I've always loved
Until this very day
I do recall that city far below
Just like a glistening bay.
And from the bay they grew the sky
And every universe was there
Reflecting all the surface of the Earth
Upon the road
Between my toes
I felt blue grassy threads
And the chill wind caught my heart
And raised the hair upon my head
I thought of home the whole night long
and where the time had gone
I sat there on the high cliff top up on the warming land
The perfumed cedars have caught the wind blown in from open sea
I hid a precious stone I held inside a weathered tree.
Oh those hills were tall and winding
And the roads they did divide
When we reach the top we stopped
To see over the side
Of the fickle sea I've always loved
Until this very day
I do recall that city far below
Just like a glistening bay
A handful of small flowers
Which were nestling in the grass
I tossed them to the sky
And watched them as they danced.
Oh the fickle sea I've always loved
Until this very day
I see those flowers floating down
Towards the glistening bay.
Oh those hills were tall and winding
And the roads they did divide
When we reach the top we stopped
To see over the side
Of the fickle sea I've always loved
Until this very day
I do recall that city
I do recall that city far below
Just like a glistening bay
Just like a glistening bay
And the roads they did divide
When we reach the top we stopped
To see over the side
Of the fickle sea I've always loved
Until this very day
I do recall that city far below
Just like a glistening bay.
And from the bay they grew the sky
And every universe was there

Until this very day
I do recall that city
I do recall that city far below
Just like a glistening bay
Just like a glistening bay
