Bookworm
It's amazing how the changes of our lives turn quickly in a book
Wondering how exactly I'm caught staring not knowing where to look
The pages torn, the binding frayed
It's hard to love, another day
The lens is dark, the light is dim
The cover cracked, the shadow grins
You slowly nibble bites into the stories, and memories you've found
The pile of my words and all their letters are bodies on the ground
It's suicide, the wrong the right
I cannot see, the other side
But life moves on, in black and white
While colors fade, in wading light
Wondering how exactly I'm caught staring not knowing where to look
The pages torn, the binding frayed
It's hard to love, another day
The lens is dark, the light is dim
The cover cracked, the shadow grins
You slowly nibble bites into the stories, and memories you've found
The pile of my words and all their letters are bodies on the ground
It's suicide, the wrong the right
I cannot see, the other side
But life moves on, in black and white
While colors fade, in wading light
