Accusations

I wake up while the rain is falling down
merchants calling on the streets
lyin' on my back thinkin' about
the glamour and the sweet defeat
strangers packin' bags 'n leavin' soon
cold black moon don't give no light
and the sounds of all these different feet
don't always seem alright

accusations

the darkness of an endless lookin' square
and no one there to ease the fright
the stillness of the cold and bitter dawn
I haven't slept a wink all night
the friends I thought to here that were not there
they disappeared without a sound
their heads full of words and promises
the bright ideas never found

accusations
