The Epiphany

They say they hate English and they suck at math
I can only make it if I ball or rap
But to ball and rap, requires all of that
Need math just to ball, like Apple needs apps

And rap is poetry that gives English a wrath
Use every word to rip those in my path
Like for instance, some say I'll never be great
So I speak positive and their words I negate

But don't be fooled, takes a lot to keep your mind right
Bad outnumbers good in a raw fight
Takes seven pros to counter one con
That's why there's so much power in one's tongue

So I use my words, like a spirit gun
Cause I know my powers unmatched son
Every verse I say, goes in your earlobes
Then flows through your blood till it hits your soul

Kids sit in school, swear it be boring
Teach 'em my lyrics, & grades be soaring
Seismic anomalies, lyrical expertise
Put 'em both together, they kinda define me

I'm a rap boss, mouth with a gauze
Cause I rap thunder, spit blood when I cough
Use the pen and paper to relay my thoughts
Then spit it over tracks so it can be taught

Set apart from the group, different and aloof
They said I was weird so I hit the booth
Like to study the game sort of like a sleuth
But when I make songs I give my truth
