Backtracked

I've done a lot of thinking and I've made up my mind.
I'm very confident I've chosen what is right.
And I have to admit our eyes lock from time to time.
And yes they're full of mystery, but I just can't let it get to me.

It's been rough, I didn't think I had enough
But I was so wrong, won't you please forgive me.

Let's retrace our steps
So we can get back to the beginning.
There ain't much time left
Don't want us to call this the ending.

Down down down down
To the place that we belong
For so long now
We've been falling apart from
Everything we used to be
We're strangers now, you and me.

My heads been clouded with thoughts of you.
At the end of the day this is what's left to hold onto.
I've got nothing to hide or prove.
We can still remain strong and brave, we can pull through.
Again its not too late, I've been thinking lately
We can finally break ourselves free.

Well it's been rough, I didn't think I had enough.
But I was so wrong, won't you please forgive me.

Let's retrace our steps
So we can get back to the beginning.
There ain't much time left
Don't want us to call this the ending.

Down down down down
To the place that we belong
For so long now
We've been falling apart from
Everything we used to be
We're strangers now, you and me.

Take another drink, you might forget
These past few weeks, you know I regret
Hold on tight it's not over yet.
One more night to fix my head.
I know its been hard to accept
What we've become and whats left.

Let's retrace our steps
So we can get back to the beginning.
There ain't much time left
Don't want us to call this the ending.

Down down down down
To the place that we belong
For so long now
We've been falling apart from
Everything we used to be
We're strangers now, you and me.
