The story of Jonah is the story of our times
He had a mission in Nineveh
He did not want to do it and he ran away from God
In rebellion he sailed to Tarshish to do the things he wanted
God sent a violent storm that brought him to his senses
He was thrown out of the ship and swallowed by a whale
In distress he prayed to the Lord
The Lord heard him and commanded
the whale to release him onto dry land
Then God sent him to Nineveh!!
