Fight or Flight

I'm off my meds again
Waiting for these messages to send
Your critiques are incessant
This sinning feels pleasant
The movie just ended
I can finally stand again

My reflection looks like shattered glass
I never thought I'd run this fast
It's fight or flight and I'm scared
Because my wings are clipped

I'm a wrecking ball in a doctors office
A kid stuck inside his twenties
Breaking gently, my chest feels heavy
Sip slowly I've been there before
Chip my teeth on the bedroom floor
The bottle gets heavy with every drink
Poor your ego down the sink

I'm always the odd one out
Fluorescent lights are hell
The spotlight always scares me
Shoved in lockers too small for my body

I didn't fit in anywhere
Even in these masks I always wear
(It's fight or flight and I'm scared)
