In the Garden

Down this path
Man in his garden
Knowing every single stone
In paradise alone
Bides his time
In innocent ways
Along with the birds
Playing games with words

Resting in the tall grass
Singing sweet Satan's song
Arguing with nature
When you know you will be wrong

By law, we saw this earthly cage
We curse and worse these lazy days

He rustles past, formless and fast
Where it's best just to stay naive
When there is no way out to leave
And when we begin to dissect the garden
It shuffles all the cards
And we break into a thousand shards

By law, we saw this earthly cage
We curse and worse these lazy days
These lazy days
