Behind Closed Doors
Her: will I forgive myself if I let you in?
He laughs as I open the curtains wide
Him: She's putting on make-up and packs the lipstick into her bag,
Her: let's go,
Him: I told you I wanna stay a little longer
Her: he's eyes on me...
Him: ...as she sits down on the chair,
Don't be shy, come over here!
My hand is softly sliding down the couch...
Her: ...and then his hands over my thighs,
under the dress, in my hair, I close my eyes
Her: No!
Him: Then why did you invite me here? Come on!
She's a thief, she begged for it
Together: he/she makes promises he/she doesn't keep
Her: I turn off the lights so I can feel safe
Cause it's life that I'm scared of, not death
Her: He holds my hand, but I don't hold his as we step out of the bar
Him: I would never hurt you, you know that right?
Her: and I tell another lie
Him: she nods and sweetly smiles,
Her: but he is the liar and he doesn't even know it himself
Him: so will you go home with me tonight?
Her: cause no one ever deserved you, right?
Him: so go home with me tonight.
Her: you surround yourself with people that you don't respect
Him: and you- you're just ashamed of being proud of going home with older guys,
Both: for the last time in my life everything was black and white
We walked through the door and never looked back
I know I've made mistakes, but it wasn't always my fault
Him: no one cares what happens behind closed doors
Him: we've only known each other a week and a half
She's six years younger, two heads smaller,
And I think you wear too much make-up
Her: and I wish I could give myself one piece of advice, I think I'd say:
don't grow up so fast
so don't go home with him tonight
Both: half an hour is all it takes to grow up
You see darkness is places it does't belong
And nothing is just for fun anymore
Him: you turn off the lights just to feel safe
Her: but it's life that I'm scared of, not death
It's you that i'm scared of, not death
He laughs as I open the curtains wide
Him: She's putting on make-up and packs the lipstick into her bag,
