Diversity
Diversity you and me living together in a community
People are more than just what you see
Celebrate our strength in diversity
Celebrate our strength in diversity
Celebrate our strengths
Knowing and respecting people different from you
Even though we may have our own point of view
We share the same cord and the credit value
Cause their are simple skills everyone can use
By justice and equality it means we treat everyone fairly
And provide equal opportunities that's justice and equality
Diversity you and me living together in a community
Even though we may look differently
We celebrate our strength in diversity
We celebrate our strength in diversity
We celebrate our strengths
When we play a sport or a game
We should be honest just the same
Respect the rules and play fair
Don't matter what color jersey you wear
While the government needs to listen to this
Cause they haven't always given equal justice
They took away the land from Native Americans
And enslaved millions of Africans
Discriminated against African Americans
And it turned Japanese Americans
And exploited Chinese Americans and
Mexicans and Mexican Americans
And limited the rights of all women and poor women and men
So let these be our history lessons this is where our diversity begins
Diversity you and me living together in a community
People are more than just what you see
By the color of my skin don't judge me
It's in the dream of Martin Luther King
We celebrate our strengths and let freedom ring
How can we help the poor and homeless in their pursuit of
Happiness and protect their life and their liberty
With justice and equality
What is our responsibility to those who have less than you and me?
Diversity you and me living together in a community
People are more than just what you see
Celebrate our strength in diversity
Celebrate our strength in diversity
Celebrate our strength in diversity
People are more than just what you see
Celebrate our strength in diversity
Celebrate our strength in diversity
Celebrate our strengths
Knowing and respecting people different from you
Even though we may have our own point of view
