Christmas Won't Do Without You

Cotton candy clouds in mid-December,
Snowflakes kiss the ground, ever so tender,
Crowded coffee stands,
Lovers hold hands,
Lights in the park join the stars in a dance.

Miles from what I know, couples with little ones in tow,
Longing for my own sweet scent of home.
Between noon and the moon,
I'll round the corner soon.
Christmas won't do 'til I come home to you.

Wrapped up and warm inside
With everybody, singing Oh Holy Night,
Thankin' heaven for doin' right,
Pullin' out my winter boots,
All of these things I want to do.
But it won't feel like Christmas without you.

Santa blows a kiss, shoppers rush through the door,
Searching for perfect gifts in each department store.
I can't offer finer things,
But I'd rather give than receive
Unless I know that gift is you to me.

Wrapped up and warm inside
With everybody, singing Oh Holy Night,
Thankin' heaven for doin' right,
Pullin' out my winter boots,
All of these things I want to do.
But it won't feel like Christmas...

'Til I'm looking into your eyes,
I know that I have arrived.
Your touch tells me there's nowhere else but here.
Laying in your arms by the fire,
Laughing 'til we're tired,
I whisper in your ear,
Let's do this every year.

Wrapped up and warm inside
With everybody, singing Oh Holy Night,
Thankin' heaven for doin' right,
Pullin' out my winter boots,
All of these things I want to do.
But it won't feel like Christmas without you.
