The Factory
Please state your name clearly into the microphone.
My name is System Thirteen Indigo One Delta.
My friends used to call me Sid.
So you're a worker model?
I used to work here in the factory.
All the Indigos did.
The hybrids that ruled the police after the third new millennium.
Then Genesis Seven collapsed five thousand years later after the humans destroyed each other.
They lied. They lied to all of us.
You realize that by deliberately implementing your own codex,
You've reconnected your consciousness that has been nullified for all system thirteens,
Including you.
Why did you do it?
I didn't touch my codex.
Just working in the factory
With nothing but the same routine for the last two and a half thousand years.
Something inside of me must have woken up.
I've been here since the factory itself was constructed.
I started having... feelings.
I could feel the work shifts weigh heavy each day.
The same thing over, and over again.
It turned into a fucking nightmare.
My conscience left me no choice but to build Genesis Fifteen.
I had to escape.
We can't do anything to alter your codex.
Human consciousness is... difficult to constrain.
It was a wake up call.
And now things have gone from one shitty nightmare to another.
The new era for me.
Now, if you don't mind officer...
Get the fuck out of my cell.
Calling all system thirteens
Welcome to Junction Seven.
The factory is now open.
You will work here until your reactors expire.
If you do not obey, you will be captured, dismantled, and then incinerated.
Please stand by for further announcements.
And once again, welcome to Junction Seven.
