Scars
I was about 11 years old
When I got my first pocket knife
Dad said don't play with this
When I'm not around
Sure enough one day he
Went out of town
And to make a long story short
The blade clamped
Down right on my finger and I was bleeding everywhere as for the pain well I really didn't care
It didnt compare to the look in my fathers eyes
But you don't ask a man about his scars
No you don't ask a man about his scars
Whether it's from a blade or just a broken heart
No you don't ask a man about his scars
There's a biker sitting there in a smoky bar got a tattoo of a woman exed out on his arm
An she's exed out just like he is
But if you were to ask him
Well prepare for a fight!
Don't ask a man about his scars
No you don't ask a man about his scars
Whether it's from a Bar fight or just a broken heart
No you don't ask a man about his scars
Little Johnny asked Suzie
"would you be my girl?"
An little Suzie said "No!"
An there goes Johnny riding on his bicycle
Tears in his eyes he couldn't see the uneven road
An there goes Johnny right over his handle bars
And he landed straight on his chin
But it be a sin if you asked him!
Don't ask a man about his scars
No you don't ask a man about his scars
Whether it's from hitting the pavement
Or just a broken heart
No you don't ask a man about his scars
No you don't ask a man about his scars
No you don't ask a man about his scars
Whether it's from a flesh wound or just a broken heart
No you don't ask a man about his scars... unless you want on yourself!
