Beast at the Door

Who, who is this creature I see
Right in front of me
Now I'm writing every move
There's a beast at the door
Make no sudden movement

Now I'll have to go so far from here
Run so far away
Its all very much to my dismay
How could I have ever been so wrong?
Too many words too strong
Where recklessness does not belong

She, appeared as a beauty, a mirage to the porch(?)
Then I warned him I feared there'd be some price to pay
Though he would not believe me

Then I saw the creature late at night
Slink across the light
Oh it crept to my door
But the hounds they did fight
It went away but the next day
Suffice to say the hounds were gone

Ohhhhh
She'll eat us alive
Ohhhhh
She'll eat us alive

She is crafting her story
Distorting the history
So that all will know that
She, she is the victim and I am the enemy

Now I'll have to go so far from here
Run so far away
Its all very much to my dismay
How could I have ever been so wrong?
Too many words too strong
Where recklessness does not belong

Ohhh
She will eat us alive
Ohhh
She will eat us alive
