I don't want to sound unreasonable
So within reason I'll expound it
I don't like when someone pulls the wool
Over someone else's hallowed ground
Through the years I've learned where hearts are concerned
It's a place where angels lightly tread
We must admit that at the end of the day
We're all making our own bed

She was out of my league But I wanted to stay
She made me feel Like the world was okay
I was feeling fatigue, Thought she knew the way
When I gave her the wheel She drove me away

I'm not gonna say that love is a bust
We've all felt it tried and true
We agree it must be based on trust
But long suffering sees it through
Through the years I've learned where hearts can turn
It's a place where angels will not dwell
I didn't know until I hit the ground Just how hard I fell
