Face of Mercy

I was sinking deep in sin; could see no peaceful shore
And my heavy heart was pulling me deeper down

I stood up a different man; repentance felt so good
I found it hard to keep from singing "Oh Happy Day"
I thought of all the ones I know who need Him just as bad
And at the chance to share His love what I would say
I'd say I used to think "Amazing Grace" was just an old gospel song
But when I became a wretch like me my empty heart became His home
