First Monsoon Rain

It's four o'clock and the sun's a setting
I picked my spot since the early morning wind
I haven't moved since

I tried to do a bit of reading,
But my mind wouldn't let me in again
Oh what a pity

It's been so long since I've been out
Catching a cold in the first monsoon rain

What was it when I was a kid
Breakfast, play and a little bit of fishing
And then play again

It's been so long since I've been told
Or felt like I could dance in the rain

People say
People say that time has its wings
You won't see
You won't see or feel the breeze
But you'll surely know
You'll surely know when it's missing

And I know the time is right
And I know that the end is coming soon
And though I know that the word is in the air
I think I may just take my time to decide

It's 5 o clock and the sun's still setting
I'm still rooted and quietly contemplating
Will I move again?

I've had enough of these repeated blows
Tomorrow brings a brand new hope for sure.
