Bang Bang

Bang, bang, push, push go my fingers
As I hit another station on the radio
Tune out, turn off, see ya' later,
It's the same sad story everywhere I go

The more I look the less I find
It's getting hard to ease my mind

Small talk or the classical station
"Soft Rock" for the lost generation
Country music's in a sad situation
Who says those boots and cowboy hat
Can keep that kid from singin' flat

All that I want is just to hear something that's real
A little heart and some emotion I can feel

Instead of,
Cellifane plastic, glamorized high tech
Pierced skin, "New Trend" children playin' them
Sub-par rock stars, with out-of-tune guitars

Bang, bang, push, push go my fingers
As I flip though the stations on my radio
Not this, not that, what's the difference
It's the same ten songs I already know

Consultants make their little list
No wonder that it's come to this

Teen queens with a ten minute future
Rap acts known to the prosecutors
White kids who whine like a loser
And rant and rave, pretend they're mad
Then cash those checks from dear old dad

All that I want is just to hear something that's real
A little heart and some emotion I can feel

Instead of,
Baggy pantsed boy groups, dancin' with drum loops
Quantized hip jive, gets by modified
Real cool gene pools, who have to use Protocols

Bang, bang, push, push go my fingers
(Not again)
Tune out, turn off, see ya' later
Shoot Shoot
