House Full of Dogs

Pretty women, fancy cars
I see 'em driving by on my way to bar
I meet up with my friends
And we'll play a game of darts
And have a drink that'll last us for days
Fancy skills
A high school education means there's things that I don't mention
Filling out these applications
It's hard to get a job when you've got no experience to speak of

I got a smile on my face and my feet in the grass
My eyes to the future and my heart in the past
My head on my shoulders and all my ducks in a row
I got a house full of dogs and a couple of brothers
And a big enough heart that I can share it with others
Things are looking out just like I never thought that they would
Things are turning out like I hoped they could

Beautiful girl, eyes that shine
And her boyfriend was three times my size
A couple broken fingers and a big old black eye
And hate that just won't go away
Now I'm all dressed up with nowhere to be
There's people talking [?] everyone but me
They must not like my hat, my shirt, my shoes, or my jeans
And where [?]

But the night sky's bright
The stars shine like diamonds
Good times are out there
All you got to do is find them
And everyone can make themselves happy in my point of view
Every time I look in the mirror, I look more like my father
I'm going bald and I try to cover it up
Wonder why I even bother
I'll climb mountains just 'cause I never thought that I would
Things are turning out like I hoped they could

Pretty women, fancy cars
I see 'em driving by on my way to bar
I meet up with my friends
And we'll play a game of darts
And have a drink that'll last us for days
