Empty Walls

Empty Walls fill this halted life
Crumbling like my spine
It neither bears my soul nor this body
Breaking so divine

My bags are packed, with hope out of reach
They sit neatly on my bed
I've watched this world slowly collapse and dare not plan ahead

This insentient soul was lit at one point
Long before these endless of times
I've proven my worth in a different life
This one holds no reason nor rhyme

In this life I've learned to accept my faith
Struggling night and day
One by one hear the insults as they hit my face
Standing tall and so proud
But empty walls fill this halted life
Crumbling... getting dark
