Sitting in the Stairwell

I'm sitting in the stairwell after slipping into town
There's roses on the sidewalk
There is blood upon the ground
When the bold thin human rose to stop inside my chest
A chill waked on my side, staring while he wastes

There's a man curved on his pistol
A broken fist inside his soul
My hands are hollow pillows
My thoughts are ending bolts
Beyond the world of joys shimmers at my feet
And the rumbles in the soil
It trickles along the street

Well the post that I call evening
Is the sway before I die
I see the river more than two lanes
My thump leaning towards

Oh sky oh sky
Oh sky oh sky

I'm sitting in the stairwell after slipping into town
There's roses on the sidewalk
There is blood upon the ground
When the bold thin human rose to stop inside my chest
A chill waked on my side, staring while he wastes
