They can't take that away

For all that we see
Our humanity is wasting away
Sinking beneath us
And all that we do gets lost on you
Our raging screams fall onto deaf ears

It's the little things in life that we do each and every day
They all make a big difference and they can't take that away
Smile at someone, hold a door open, think of people and pray
They can't take that away

This world is so cold, full of hatred, people reap what they sow
And when judgements passed; they all deny
Empty hearts, fuelled by hate led by others who just dictate
Blinded by their own vision, they spread their misery
Acid rains down and washes over us
It doesn't cleanse our skin, it burns away
For the same effort as a frown, we can smile
Pick people up and not put them down
We have the power to unite the world
