Denim Dress
Take away all of the paintings that are hanging on this broken wall
You won't find the stories of mine in your books cause I wrote them wrong
I've always dreamed it'd play like a scene and be written in some history
And one by one they never were hung and they're lost pages deep
On a page, a soft lighted stage, I was hoping that you'd write your name
But that gaze I drew out for days just didn't seem the same
Of all I've written, of all I've dreamed, that denim dress still breathes
You won't find the stories of mine in your books cause I wrote them wrong
I've always dreamed it'd play like a scene and be written in some history
And one by one they never were hung and they're lost pages deep
On a page, a soft lighted stage, I was hoping that you'd write your name
But that gaze I drew out for days just didn't seem the same
Of all I've written, of all I've dreamed, that denim dress still breathes
