Forgive My Sins

Zay, rebel against the world
Hog-Mob in
Well I know
'Cuz He's merciful man

Everyday I send a prayer up into the sky
Waiting for an answer
Maybe the Lord will forgive me of my sins
(It's on the verse saying Jesus Christ)
Waiting for an answer
Maybe the Lord will forgive me of my sins

I acknowledge all the evil that I've done in my past
The things I did were dangerous, like the going it blast
I had bundles of cash, I learnt none of it last
Tree sound like a lion on the loose, and run from it fast
You see, I thought I was smooth like the finest silk
Actually I was just no good like expired milk
Understand sin is the foundation on which lies are built
Corrupted the earth, creating things that fill our minds with filth
I thank the Almighty for all the grace I've been receiving
Was nothing but the evil heathen who committed treason
He knew I was deceived and continued to let me breathe
When he could have destroyed me, 'cuz he got every right and reason
But now I'm living decent - no more fornicating
Drug dealing, or other things that keep me in police precincts
But now I'm believing, started praying and reading
Once I realised the pain I cried out like the baby teething.

Everyday I send a prayer up into the sky
Waiting for an answer, (I know you hear me Lord)
Maybe the Lord will forgive me of my sins
(It's on the verse saying Jesus Christ)
Waiting for an answer
Maybe the Lord will forgive me of my sins

If you're listening to this then you heard what the hook had just said
Can't guarantee to have a chance to confess on your deathbed
This was inspired by the scripture I just read
Thinking on Jesus and the reason he hung and just bled
The sacrifice is a witness against our wickedness
The resurrection's a testament of what forgiveness is
Yes it's impressive, he did miracles healing sicknesses
Relief to the blind, the deaf, the depressed, and the invalids
But besides this, he fulfilled his ultimate purpose
With his blood he purges the Church, now he's working to purge us
Through the Word of God, we learn how to fight all these urges
I study the spiritual "Art of War" and I am encouraged
The struggle with sin is the reason I have fallen short
The realest brethren in the Holy Spirit are my support
Christ is the judge, the laws to prosecute and I'm in court
The charges are read and I plead guilty, that's what I report.
(For real)

Everyday I send a prayer up into the sky
Waiting for an answer, (I know you hear me Lord)
Maybe the Lord will forgive me of my sins
(It's on the verse saying Jesus Christ)
Waiting for an answer
Maybe the Lord will forgive me of my sins

There was a time that if you called me a goon, I would be honoured
Ran with my mans 'n offered them hands like E. Honda
Neighbour *???*, posing tryna be mobsters
The homies carrying big weapons, like we in Contra
Go to the club, before you know it we in conflict
One minute you on the block, the next you could be a convict
Went from a legal economic, to seeing profits
To teaching Bible topics and reading the prophets
Meditate on what we did and know it was wrong
Hustling and bringing beef to the block my mama lived on
Some are locked down, some are dead, and some got to live on
Of course I got regrets looking back at the path we were on
That's why I talk to God, morning, noon, and night
Gave me a chance to be a different man, gotta do it right
Messiah died for our sins once, he won't do it twice
Take advantage of the grace the Father gave us through his life

Everyday I send a prayer up into the sky, (Thank you Father)
Waiting for an answer, (I know you hear me)
Maybe the Lord will forgive me of my sins
(It's on the verse saying Jesus Christ)
Waiting for an answer
Maybe the Lord will forgive me of my sins

Everyday I send a prayer up into the sky
Waiting for an answer
Maybe the Lord will forgive me of my sins
(It's on the verse saying Jesus Christ)
Waiting for an answer
Maybe the Lord will forgive me of my sins
