Sophomore Year
The year was difficult from the start
Freshmen year, my heart fell apart
I didn't think I could ever be changed
And then my life at sophomore, rearranged
I found the girl who would change my life
Who would help me put down the fucking knife
Considering I never had a feeling left in me
Pain was just a little tiny myth to me
But then I met her, my heart restored
And it felt so great, like my body matured
I finally knew I could love someone
She came along and helped me let go of the gun
It felt so great, and it felt so fine
I was with somebody who I felt like was divine
And even through the pain and all the lies
At the end of the day I could still call you mine
As I know all good things come to an end
I'll never get to have the greatest feeling ever again
But I should've expected it from the start
Now all I feel is pain, I fell apart
I hope you're happy, I hope you're great
I had to leave you, as a friend it was fate
Seeing you with another guy
Is more depressing than the past, it's what makes me cry
You made me believe in something
That wasn't real dependent
Yeah you took me in and broke me down
Now I'm fucked up stuck lookin' around
For something that I need and it's too good to be true
How will I ever move the fuck on from you
If you think I hate you, just know that I don't
Even though I own this pain, I have to cope
Even in the worst it seems like it hurts
But little did you know it's way worse
Finding a reason to live, is twice as hard
Even if I died, you would have no regards
It's the worst thing to think about, you know
How you told me, I'm the one who stooped so low
But the things you did to hurt me were twice as bad
As anything I did to you, it makes me sad
Don't you realize how much you hurt me
Made me have trust issues intentionally
How can everything just change so fast
In a blink of an eye you didn't make it last
But now it's clear yeah, I can see
That you didn't really give a fuck about me
I know we're young, and we're pretty much kids
But how can somebody affect the way you did
You were too great, I knew it couldn't be true
The only girl, I told "I love you" to
I know we're young, and we're pretty much kids
But how can somebody affect the way you did
You were too great, I knew it couldn't be true
The only girl, I told "I love you" to
You made me believe in something
That wasn't real dependent
Yeah you took me in and broke me down
Now I'm fucked up stuck lookin' around
