Sit on Roofs

There's a poem about a painting
In a book I got for free
I don't remember where it came from
I like the poem
I don't know from poetry

Took my car a couple thousand miles
It was pretty warm when we got down there
Gatorland I love your capybaras
Don't want to leave them there
Don't want to go home

Something makes me want to sit outside
Something makes me want to sit at night
Something makes me want to sit on roofs

Is winter gone forever?
I hope it never comes back
We can go out walking again
Is winter gone forever?
I hope it never comes back
We can go and sit outside on roofs

I always want a different season
But you can only drive so much
So I keep my eyes on trees and
Things will eventually change
And we can sit on roofs

Something makes me want to sit outside
Something makes me want to sit at night
Something makes me want to sit on roofs

Is winter gone forever?
I hope it never comes back
We can go out walking again
Is winter gone forever?
I hope it never comes back
We can go and sit outside on roofs
