Merry Thanks-O-Ween

When Summer is over at the start of the Fall
I take a little shopping trip down to the mall
I look around and feel agitation
'Cause everywhere it's Christmas decorations

I wonder if I'm losing my mind
Or have I lost my sense of time
It's Christmas here and I'm feelin' upset
Because I haven't even gone trick-or-treatin' yet

Maybe there's a brand new celebration
That I hadn't heard about
They mashed up my fav'rite holidays
And churned a new one out

Merry Thanks-O-Ween
The most commercialized holiday that you've ever seen
It's Halloween and Christmas and that one in between
Merry Thanks-O-Ween

I see jack-o-lanterns on aisle three
And two rows over are the Christmas trees
Twinkling lights and cranberry sauce
Everything's a jumble and I'm totally lost

Ghosts and goblins under mistletoe
Pumpkin pie and artificial snow
It's much too early for a jolly display
It must be a brand new holiday

They skipped Thanksgiving completely
And now Black Friday is three weeks long
Let's put on spooky costumes
And go caroling with this song

Merry Thanks-O-Ween
The most commercialized holiday that you've ever seen
It's Halloween and Christmas and that one in between
Merry Thanks-O-Ween
It's Christmas decorations on September thirteen
Merry Thanks-O-Ween
It's a turkey stuffed in a pumpkin up in a tree
Merry Thanks-O-Ween
